Members elected for Board of Trustees

(Published on 10.11.2021) We congratulate Prof. Vivien Petras, PhD, Prof. Dr. Dörte Schmidt and Dr. Sonja Schimmler on their new function.
The Board of Trustees is the administrative-strategic control organ of the association.  Among other things, it monitors the activities of the Directorate, votes on the admission or exclusion of members of the association, appoints the Directorate and the Scientific Senate and must give its approval to the rules of procedure of the other bodies. The Board of Trustees is composed of three members each from the Federal Government (Dr. Stefan Stupp, Stephan Bodmann, Andrea Herdegen), the federal states (Dr. Simone Schwanitz, Rüdiger Eichel, Dr. Carola Zimmermann) and from the scientific community (see above). In addition to the election of the three members of the Board of Trustees, the discharge of the Executive Board for the financial year 2020 was decided. Furthermore, Director Prof. Dr. York Sure-Vetter reported on the current status of the association’s structure and presented a positive balance of the first year of the association.
The next General Assembly is expected to take place in autumn/winter 2022.
