DMP4NFDI enters the integration phase by decision of the consortium meeting, the application for the basic service DMP4NFDI of Base4NFDI will be continued in the integration phase. The service represents an important building block for the expansion of shared infrastructures within the NFDI.

DMP4NFDI (Data Management Plans for NFDI) is a centralised technical service that supports the creation, maintenance and use of data management plans (DMPs) and software management plans (SMPs) within the consortia. The focus is on hosting and further developing the open source tool RDMO, supplemented by coordinated template development, standardisation of content and comprehensive advice and training for DMP managers in the NFDI.

The aim is to improve interdisciplinary exchange, pool requirements at an early stage and promote interoperable DMPs – as the cornerstone of functioning research data management. The service thus not only strengthens operational collaboration within the consortia, but also the sustainable infrastructure in the entire NFDI research data ecosystem.
