Tackling various topics and questions ranging from “What is (research) ethics?” to “Should we care about the CARE principles?” the series aims to engage anyone interested in ethics: researchers, research data professionals and ethics committee members but also the general public.

The talks will be given in English, starting at 16:00 h with 30-40 min presentations followed by 20-30 minutes for discussion.

The series is organised by the Ethics Working Group of the NFDI section ELSA (Ethical, Legal and Social Aspects).

Minister Petra Olschowski visits the NFDI

GWK Approves Continued Federal and State Funding for NFDI Starting in 2029

At its meeting on July 10, the Joint Science Conference (GWK) adopted a new federal-state agreement (BLV) for the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). This agreement defines the funding and future structure of NFDI starting in 2029. The federal and state governments intend to continue funding NFDI with up to 98.7 million euros per year from 2029 to 2038.
