The NFDI4DS Lecture Series fosters collaboration, exchange of ideas, and discussions among NFDI and various national and international stakeholders. 

The lecture series is organized in collaboration with the Working Group Data Science and AI of the NFDI Section Common Infrastructures. The monthly event is held online, and the 15 lectures so far have attracted up to 100 participants from NFDI and beyond.  

Topics covered include a wide range of infrastructure-related endeavours, specifically also addressing developments related to the GenAI era. 

Two Highlights in 2026 have been (1) “Personalized Paper Recommendations for Scientists” und (2) “Supporting Research Data Management with Generative AI”

All talks are recorded and made available to the public via the TIB AV Portal and Youtube.

Its search portal improves the visibility and discoverability of qualitative datasets from different providers. Through practical guidance, tools such as the open-source anonymization tool QualiAnon, and contributions to international metadata standards, QualidataNet supports researchers, educators, and institutions working with qualitative data. At the same time, the network fosters collaboration, exchange, and a stronger culture of qualitative data reuse across the community.
