FAIRagro’s work does not end with developing services and tools. Our mission is only fulfilled if these services are known, trusted, and actively used by our community – by researchers and institutions alike.

And only if these services truly fit the needs of agricultural researchers — supporting them in managing their data efficiently and in a FAIR way.

Our success greatly depends on our community.

That is why, from the very beginning, FAIRagro has followed an open-door approach.
We are not a closed project — we are an initiative supporting a growing FAIR movement within the agricultural research community.

We actively reach out to the community — engaging more institutions and departments, collaborating with other research projects, and connecting with learners and users alike.

This is why we offer since Feb 2025 the FAIRagro FAIRness and Openness Commitment: A voluntary declaration for individuals, projects, and institutions outlining shared values

and practical steps to advance FAIR data practices in agrosystem sciences.

Two main statements: “We commit to advance FAIRness and Openness in Agro science and beyond” and “We value data infrastructure and data experts”, followed by 12 supporting statements encompassing key areas of RDM and Open Science Practices. Who can sign? All members of the agri science community are invited (individuals as well as institutions, societies, administrations, organisations etc.

Where to sign? Simply visit: fairagro.net/commitment

QualidataNet – Making Qualitative Research Data Visible and Reusable
QualidataNet is the central access point for the reuse, archiving, and research data management of qualitative research data. Its search portal improves the visibility and discoverability of qualitative datasets from different providers. Through practical guidance, tools such as the open-source anonymization tool QualiAnon, and contributions to international metadata standards, QualidataNet supports researchers, educators, and institutions working with qualitative data. At the same time, the network fosters collaboration, exchange, and a stronger culture of qualitative data reuse across the community.
