The NFDI4Objects Knowledge Graph is based on graph database technology to organise and aggregate digitized material cultural assets. This information service enables users to access historical and cultural data within the digital space and to reconstruct relationships between different objects, events, and contextual frameworks. In this way, the NFDI4Objects Knowledge Graph facilitates access to a vast range of cultural objects for scholars, researchers, and the wider interested public.
Each object constitutes a distinct entity containing specific information regarding its cultural and historical context. The objects are interlinked, thereby rendering complex relationships visible and enabling multidimensional forms of analysis and interpretation. In addition, the Knowledge Graph provides a range of advanced filtering and search functionalities that support targeted research into cultural-historical objects and their interrelations. The service further incorporates a number of useful features, including the integration of APIs, third-party software and web portals for seamless data access and an enhanced user experience.
