Industry Engagement: Sprecher gewählt und Sektionskonzept veröffentlicht

Die Sektion Industry Engagement hat in ihrer ersten offiziellen Sitzung am 5. Mai Prof. Dr. Florian Stahl als Sprecher und Prof. Dr. Chris Eberl zum stellvertretenden Sprecher gewählt.

Mit der Sektion soll die Zusammenarbeit mit der Wirtschaft weiter systematisch ausgebaut werden, um gesellschaftliche Mehrwerte zu fördern.

Ziel ist unter anderem die Schaffung einer gemeinsamen Austauschplattform zwischen Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft für die Identifikation und Konkretisierung von übergreifenden Problemfeldern und Lösungsansätzen. Zum Sektionskonzept

Industry Engagement: Speaker elected and section concept published

The section Industry Engagement elected  Prof. Dr. Florian Stahl  as speaker and Prof. Dr. Chris Eberl as deputy speaker in its first official meeting on 5 May.

With the section, the cooperation with industry will be further systematically expanded in order to promote added benefits for society.

One of the goals is to create a joint exchange platform between industry and science for the identification and concretisation of overarching problem areas and approaches to solutions. To the section concept

Englische Übersetzung des Internetportals „Best-Practice Forschungsethik“ online

Die bislang nur auf Deutsch verfügbare Webseite „Best-Practice Forschungsethik“ steht nun auch in einer englischen Fassung zur Verfügung. Das Portal bündelt disziplinspezifische und übergreifende Informationen zum Thema Forschungsethik und macht diese zugänglich. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf sozialwissenschaftlicher Forschung und kommt dem hohen Bedarf an Informationen in diesem Bereich entgegen. Zur englischen Webseite

Now online: English translation of the internet portal “Best Practice for Research Ethics”

The website “Best-Practice Forschungsethik”, previously only available in German, has now been published in English. The portal bundles discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary information on the topic of research ethics and makes them accessible. The focus is on social sciences and meets the high demand for information in this area. English website

Erfolgreiches erstes Treffen nach Projektstart im FAIRagro Plenary

Am 26. April fand das erste virtuelle FAIRagro Plenary Treffen nach dem Projektstart im März 2023 statt. Es nahmen rund 55 Personen aus 23 beteiligten Einrichtungen an der Veranstaltung teil.

Neben einem Bericht von Sprecher Frank Ewert über wichtige Aktivitäten von FAIRagro, stand die Vorstellung der fünf Task Areas im Fokus.

Vor allem der Use Case „Förderung eines integrierten Schädlingsmanagements“ wurde beschrieben und aus verschiedenen Perspektiven des Task Areas betrachtet. Dieser Ansatz aus Community-getriebener Problembeschreibung und Daten-getriebener Reaktionen (Maßnahmen und Arbeitsschritten) aus den Task Areas bilden die typische und integrierte Zusammenarbeit in dem Konsortium ab. Die Präsentationsfolien wurden auf zenodo.org veröffentlicht.

Successful first meeting after project start in FAIRagro Plenary

On 26 April, the first virtual FAIRagro Plenary meeting after the project start in March 2023 took place. Around 55 people from 23 participating institutions took part in the event.

In addition to a report by speaker Frank Ewert on important FAIRagro activities, the focus was on the presentation of the five task areas.

In particular, the use case „Promotion of Integrated Pest Management“ was introduced and discussed from different perspectives of the task areas. This approach of community-driven problem description and data-driven reactions (measures and work steps) from the task areas represents the typical and integrated cooperation in the consortium. The presentation slides have been published on zenodo.org.

Call for Posters für die Conference on Research Data Infrastructure

Zum ersten Mal organisiert NFDI die Conference on Research Data Management (CoRDI). Das Event findet vom 12. bis 14. September unter dem Motto „Conntecting Communities“ in Karlsruhe statt.

Die Einreichung von Postern ist noch bis zum 16. Juni möglich (zum Call). Eine aktualisierte Version des Programms finden Sie hier. Die Registrierung öffnet demnächst.

Call for Posters for the Conference on Research Data Infrastructure

For the first time, NFDI is organising the Conference on Research Data Management (CoRDI). The event will take place from 12 to 14 September in Karlsruhe with the slogan „Connecting Communities“.

Submission of posters is still possible until 16 June (to the call). An updated version of the programme can be found here. Registration will open soon.
